In Action - Part 2

So  here I am again, In the last post I promised you guys I would show some photo updates.  I have used scrap shirts for practising.
So here it is, tell me what you think .
(The things I used will be down below, If curious.)

Theses are the stencils I made In the space of two weeks, I have been trying to do more Urban, edgy art recently and I think this may be it.

The first one is of a girl with headphones on, the second one is a letter stencil that I just made up, the third one is a typicall stereotype black boy from USA that plays ball, the fourth is a young urban girl with a beanie, the fifth one is an afro boy (He thinks his cool) and lastly the lollipop girl with a bit of edge and the business initials.

A very small description of what they are about or if not ill let you decide.

Here is just a little look of how it turned out (My first stencil!!!! wooop.)
The scalpel gives such great neat lines to the stencils, thats what I love about
this new scalpe I bought.

 T - Shirts

Lastly my twin was very supportive and let me photograph her in all the printed shirts I had produced.

Here is just two.

  •  Fabric Paint - Hobby Craft - £2 each - X5
  • Fabric Spray - Hobby Craft -£8 each - X2
  • Scalpel Knife - Hobby Craft - £5
  • Purple Ink Marker - Location of purchase (Any art shop) - £1
  • White Normal drawing hard paper - Hobby Craft -£12
  •  Editting and photos - Huawei phone camera for some but Canon Eo5 10000D camera for most  - Curry's

In Action - Part 1

So 'In action', many of you maybe thinking what that means, for me.

If you have read previous posts of mine, you would have seen me mention that I was going to start designing T-shirts with my own art printed on them (New aspect to my Business - Ways of promotions).

I have been keeping myself busy recently and really trying to put alot of things into action In terms of my business, creating things that I can actually see. Being a young entrepreneur is not easy but I find recently I have been juggling alot of things at one time.

I  hopefully want to start selling theses T-shirts in the spring near summer, this is my goal. Its going well at the moment, I have been experiementing with many paints, this wasn't as neat as I wanted it to be so then I moved on to the Tulip spray, and It's alot easier to apply onto the fabric im using. I stuck with the permanent grape and sapphire, I love the colours on the white vests. The work perfectly but in the near future I still want an actually spray can eventually.
One thing Im glad about is that I have the best supoort system around me, My twin is constantly offering her survices to help me, my big sis always makes sure my head is on straight and never lets me fall, always there to pick me back up. lastly my mother is my inspirating and is always there to give great advice. What more could I ask for...???? I dont need anything else. Thanks to my beautiful queen and princesses.

Photo of my twin helping to do a customised Black  T- shirt: 21 On the back and sun glasses chick on the front.

I have actually been using the Tulip Matt tubbs for my practice and the tubbs look like the ones in the above photo. The paint is not too bad and dry pretty fast. The one thing I dont like about the white one is it does not look the same dry and wet. Its really light and doesnt look neat enough for me. So yes I have stopped using those, only if I have to do a practice shirt, I will use it to save the good stuff.

Hobby craft is my store, I love it. It makes me spend all my money, but its all worth it in the end. Thumbs up to all the Hobby craft stores out there!!!!.
...And just in case you was wondering what I have been using, The information is below
What I have been using:
  • Fiskars Cutting mat - Hobby Craft - £5 << I think, Can't rememeber exactly, but it's close.
  • Tulip dimensional slick fabric paint - Black - Hobby Craft - £2
  • Tulip dimensional slick fabric paint - Blazin  Blue - Hobby Craft - £2
  • Tulip dimensional slick fabric paint - White - Hobby Craft - £2
  • Tulip permanent  fabric spray - Sapphire - Hobby Craft - £8
  • Tulip permanent  fabric spray - Grape  - Hobby Craft - £8
  • Scalpel Knife - Hobby Craft - £5 << Also not sure, but close.

Look out for the next post,  it will most definately be packed with photos of what I have done so far and more.

    Thanks for passing by again

BRING ON SUMMER !!

So Its been a little while since I have updated you guys on what Im doing. Ive decided that I wanted to do a photoshoot. This photoshoot would be with four others and my amazing big sis that has agreed that she is going to be the camera girl.. wooohooo!

So heres the thing I was going to do this photoshoot around this time, before christmas but the more I thought about it and the more I spoke to big sis and twin, I realised that maybe right now wouldnt be the best time because Its cold out side and it isnt getting any warmer for now.. so....

I am going to do the photoshoot Mid Spring, early summer .. is that not the best time... yess!.
So now Im going to do the photoshoot then. Now I want to tell you guys about the theme of the photoshoot because to me its a pretty big deal.

The idea is my art... on clothes. Im so excited because ive never seen my art on clothes before apart from on canvas or paper. The first three images is the few I have in mind right now because one they are all complete and two because I feel they also have a nice urban  feel to them. On T-shirts, vests, jeans  and beanies .. so look out for pictures from the photoshoot mid year next year.

...and also before I sign off this image below is still not finished but its definately a work in progress. So look out for this on tops too. I really hope you guys like it when its done. Be sure to queery about them in the summer!!

Thank you all

Celebration Dinner + Crowning Glory review

I still have that rush running through my body after my 1st exhibition, so the family and I decided to celebrate by going out to celebrate.
It was such a great night, going out with my sisters and mum because there is never a dull moment  when im around them, plus the location we went to eat at was amazing, as usual. I didn't want the night to end being honest. After we ate we headed straight to the theatre. not I havent been theatre in a long time so when the idea came up to go theatre to celebrate... I was exstatic, I really was! I really like doing new things , although this isnt new because ive been theatre before but its not something I do all the time.
Ive absolutely loved the whole experience of putting my own exhibition together and mum and the girls have been my back bone through the whole thing.

Mum, sisters and I.

                                                Play- CROWNING GLORY  -Theatre time!!
It was most definately an experience for me, and I think for the girls too. I do believe  Everything the characters were saying was true, most coloured girls or black girls are very insecure about their hair and they are very much so affected by the comments people make on a daily basis. Some dont mean it to be harmful, but unfortunately some do.

Black girls in this society believe that they are not beautiful if they dont have long, wavy, light hair. They think that guys will not look at them or dont because of this reason, which in some circumstances are true, which is sad. Being a black girl myself, I havent had Problems with my hair ....

But it is fustrating when I cant control my curls at times but that does not mean that my intentions when I straighten my hair is that I want to feel accepted by the society  today and look like everyone else. Everyone has insecurities, women more then men but they have them. Loving yourself is so important  and some characters in the play didnt, whether it be because of the way people around them made them feel about them self or because its as simple as they have the desire to look like someone else.. or its just fashion to wear weave.

'To weave or not to weave?'

Personaly, no weave I say, your hair DOES NOT have to be touching our shoulders for us to be beautiful.

Just Saying Goodnight Not Goodbye...

Sometimes I think a lot, most times in the morning when Ive just woken up and Just before I fall asleep. Its not a bad thing because most of the time I start thinking about her and I wish she would wake up and say morning to me. I find it hard because I try to do so many things to distract myself by doing all these crazy things, day in day out but sometimes its just not enough. Not having her presence is hard for me, as it is for everyone else. This morning I was thinking and I just had to get up because I felt like I was going crazy from thinking to much. I didn't know that was possible but just goes to show, its possible. Thinking about her I fell so much emotions but sometimes talking about her, I don't know weather to smile from all the good times or just to cry for the obvious reasons. Saying goodbye does not satisfy for me, its not enough to reassure myself. Sometimes I hate it when people say bye to me because bye means never seeing that person again, forever. So I'm just going to say goodnight...This is for you.

Goodnight k. <3
P.s Text is green because it reminds me of her and her room  <3

Ambition Is The Only Way Forward...

So my cousin came over today from uni, its been a while so it was really nice to see him after a couple months. We caught up with everything he was doing at uni and how nice it was.

Then we started talking about how it would be nice for me to check it out. Heres the deal with uni and me. I never thought of uni in the beginning, It wasnt my thing and I looked at it as "Everyone else is going doesnt mean I have to go if I dont want to and if im not ready" but... now that my cousins come round my mind is in a different place. He told me that its a great experience so far, and his only been there for a couple months. Growing up plays a great part in uni and I really do think I need that.

What im scared of is, leaving my family but then that just means I have no independance.. which is really bad. I have to learn to start doing things by myself. I can take great acre of myself with the confidence of the family being around but out of that environment with the family, I feel like ill fall apart.

Note to myself: Is uni for me??

Maybe Nows the time to show that my generation can do more then just sit around all day and be a bum...

Twins Will Be Twins...

So my nephews came over, they're so cute they were spelling all these small words then they asked their gran to ask them to spell bigger words, adorable right?
Family means so much to me and some times when I dont see my nephews for a long time it does make me sad, because their boys and grow sooo fast. Talking about height, their going to shoot right past me and im really going to look like an umpalumpa then arent I? ahh well ive always been told that ill never grow, back then I thought it was a big joke but then I realise that they was actualy telling me the truth. So anyways after spelling all these words they decided ton run about and hide in the toilets for a game, damn kids are so creative. Twins will be twins.

Being a twin is amazing and I hope that twins around the world feel the same bput their twin. The love I have for her is unique and having her around everyday is cool because I always think what if I wasnt a twin and I was just her sister, it would be cool but as much as it is to be one. She has all these quirky ways about her that I love. I love my twin with all my heart.

Ive always said when I have kids That I want them to be twins but I guess that wont happen since im a  twin, hopefully Ill be the first, hopefully. That would be great.

Everything and anything is possible....

So I have not blogged in a while so I have a lot to say. First off i'd like to say how much of a great woman Whitney houston was , she went too soon and I hope eveyone appriciated all her music. She battled with her drug addiction for a long time but its not about that its about the great things that she achieved in her life whilst she was here with us. She was beautiful, talented, from what I know just, great. So its really sad that she has said goodnight to the world, I think its great that she has left us behind some amazing music. R.I.P Whitney houston.

Sixth-form recently has been ok but it could be better, to be honest. Nice to have a break away from it for a while, since im in a break right now ive had time to think about studies, friends, future, and me. I think thinking space is good for me, but sometimes my mind wonders in plces I dont like or im uncomfortable with.. yh. Back to sixth-form next week..

Holidays this time round has been so.. dragged out. I haven't ive done some studying but I could have done more, have a couple days left so hopefully they will be sucessful. I have no problem in studying, its just the way I study can make me fall off track at times. Holiday is like being a snail at times, I just move slow motion with everything else, well thats after 2 o'clock. Im most of the time up, cleaning, tire myself out till midday. So overal holidays have been, me being lazy, with everything.

Family time is everything to me, without my family I would crumble, I look strong on the outside but im weak and soft really. Just my family being there is a blessing and im glad I have such a supportive, loving, talented, humorous, creative, beautiful and the list could go on and on but I wont because it will take up the whole page. Overall my family is the greatest and I appriciate holidays because to be honest we do have much family time and I dont have much holidays so when I do its the greatest feeling in the world. I love my family no matter what.

Deviantart is one site I havent been able to come off since ive been on holiday, its additve, its my addition and I love it. Its somewhere I love to be, its what I love so being on there everyday doesn't bother me in the slightest. It makes me happy. Ive just started a new drawing of the month might tell you guys about it in my next post. Draw draw draw draw draw draw DRAWWWWW, I just love it!!!!!!! The result is amazinng, I will become a established artist or fashion designer, so look out for me ;) because I am determined to reach my goal which ever way possible, everything and anything is possible in this world. My addition this holiday.

Last thought, always appreiciate everyone around you and the things they have to offer to your life that may open your eyes up to something new, you dont know how long you have left.

Pub ...walk of SHAME

So I was meant to post something yesterday about a little family outing we had, so ill just do it now.

Yesterday we went to the pub, first of all we was told that we had to wait for 45minutes because there wasnt enough seats, then the man offered us a table and said that we would have to serve ourselfs, like omg what the hell is thiss??!! I could not believe it, it was actually funny at first. Then we found out that the kitchen was down the hell!. OMG.

There was tones of people and all the seats where taken. So anyways we just payed at the desk, at the front then we did our WALK OF SHAMEEE !! LOL its was scary having to go get our plates, pick what we wanted then bring the plate all the way back to our table, not to meantion we all went at one time, part from my dad. Mummy told me that I should tell my dad to come get his plate, so I went by MYSELF, I had to do my walk of shame alone. LOL. This meant that when I got back to the table, dad would have to leave me and I would be on me todd (Alone). Made me so nerves.

So we had lunch, had a laugh, could fill up out drinks as much as wwe wanted and of course my twin made me put like two drinks in one lol , she turned me into a reble. It was so fun just to sit and chat with FOOD, in the pub lol :D.
P.S. Would NEVER do it again.

Christmas Day Is Nearly Out ... ZZzz

So christmas is nearly over. Today wasnt as bad as I thought it would be, having your family around you is the greatest thing, thats all I ask for, to have my family around me on christmas day.

Its funny because people only think of the presents but now im older, I have learnt that presents isn't everything. Learning how to appreciate your family is really important and you should always tresure all the beautiful moments you have with eachother. Having a big family is nice, but I can only count the people who care on both hands, thats it and I think thats sad.

I am so knackered ffrom all that cooking with mum, but I must admitt It was soo fun cooking with mummy, shes a star, couldnt wish for anyone better even if I had the chose. We cooked like three different types of meets, like mum does every year and plenty other stuff. And like always mum stayed up through to christmas, she never really sleeps, she gets about four, five hours of sleep because shes nonstop cooking. So I decided to join. On our feet all day, but we do make a great team. One last thing about that, i've realised im constantly asking about the food mum makes; How long does it have to go in for? Is it ready yet? So what do you put in that then? Are you going to leave that in there? Did you do that to the meat the last time?, so now im thinking I maybe taking an interest to cooking.. hmm.

Christmas dinner. Like usual I stuff my face but this year, that was not the case. This evening I just had one plate, I know... some people may think.. 'ohh thats not too bad' but with me im a slight pig when it comes to christmas dinner, sooo now im starting to think that my stomach has shrunk. I well and truely said goodbye to the second plate of food this evening, ahwell. Hooray!!.
Newyear. New attitude to life.

Deep in thought

So I was just here... thinking and my mind wondered off, started thinking about my sister, missing her is the worst feeling ever, some mornings I wake up and my mind wonders off like usual, this is because im the only one awake so this happens often, thinking about her more everyday can only make me stronger, and cherish all the wonderful moments we had together.

I always try think of the good memories because there the best. I always rememeber her putting make-up on me, she use to call me her make-up dolly because my other sisters jokinly didnt want to have make-up on their faces. Their not girly girls so thats perfectly understandable, I didnt mind getting it done. This only meant that I got to see myself with all these different looks and experience her talent first hand.
Khimi was so ambisious and so talented, she had a beautiful singing voice, I only wish that I had longer with her. Weakness in me, I always remember her singing this song, this song will always be in my heart aswell as khimmi.
she had a beautiful soul.. love you khimi <3

Round Tree Randoms

So yesterday I was meant to do a post but my  brother ended up passing by so we just did what we usually do. Talk, laugh, eat, and chat some more, always talk non stop from the time he arives to the time he leaves.
My brother was talking about how the boys (My newphes) hair had grown, down to their shoulders now, man I was shocked when I saw the pictures, could not believe it.

So yesterday I was going to talk about  how I had finally began to do some AS work from my sixth-form project on Cross-section. Its always fun to do all the experimenting but its never fun dointg the writing parts about the artist inleast your really intrigued in the artist the work is based around.
From my opinion I think art has to be some thing you enjoy inorder to getting down to do it and this is why when I really dont feel like doing work, I dont do it because it wont come out as I want it to.

Welcome To My Dollhouse

Hey,

I'm Rae, I've been thinking about making a blog for a while now and I thought now is the right time. My blog will mostly contain things to do with my art since it is my passion but I will change it up ever so often.

I've been drawing for a while now but since I have been studying Art for my GCSE's and now my A levels (Art AS) it has allowed me to be more versatile in the ways I create my art. I remembered doing art from about  the age of 11 and I still enjoy it now, I just wish I had more time to do my own thing.

I feel with art and drama I really get to express my feelings, but it shows through my art especially and always will, because it's just something that will always come naturally to me.
